Speech Pathologist Miriam Voortman has over 16 years of experience in voice assessment and rehabilitation, the acute medical management of complex swallowing disorders, and treatment of upper airway disorders.

Miriam commenced her career as a professional vocalist, graduating from The Elder Conservatorium of Music in 2003 with a Bachelor of Music Performance in Jazz Voice. Her work with vocalists across Adelaide highlighted a need for high-quality clinical voice care, which led her to study a Master of Speech Pathology at Flinders University in 2006.

Since graduating, Miriam has held a number of positions across both Adelaide and Melbourne which have established her as an expert clinician in the areas of voice, swallowing and upper airway management.
